Although Tom Nevins has not worked for us at our recently merged Chemical Bank and Manufacturers Hanover operation, I have been in Japan seven years, and we worked closely together when I was in charge of Citicorp Investment Bank. Many of our key senior people were sourced by TMT.

TMT also provided us assistance with Rules of Employment, and was a helpful support person for my Deputy General Manager of administration and finance.

At Chemical, I am looking forward to the seminar-training program he has been developing over the last few years. If he does with that, what he has done with his other human resource activities, I am sure it will make a real contribution to any foreign firm's manpower development initiatives in Japan.
